AEL's mission is to sustain a community of educational leadership toward the ideals of delivering equal educational opportunity and access and maximizing intellectual and personal growth for all children under our collective supervision and care.
The Anne Arundel County, Maryland, Association of Educational Leaders accepts it's responsibilities to:
- 01. Provide a reliable and professional source of counsel for school system policy and regulatory development and, when appropriate, county and state legislation considerations.
- 02. Serve as a forum for professionals with mutual challenges and interests to share successful practices,
- 03. Lift all school leadership in the Anne Arundel County Public Schools to higher professional standards and, as a result of the above pursuits,
- 04. Improve student performance across all grades and curricular
content areas.
Since its founding AEL continues to be guided by these initial principles. AEL is very proud of its role as a professional association in support of the academic achievement of children and young people.
The Association of Educational Leaders takes seriously its role as a full and key partner in Anne Arundel's Learning Community to make Anne Arundel County a desired location for home and work.
