The Nominating Committee develops and disseminates a list of candidates for the Executive Board and its officers and assists the membership in the election process. Like a number of committees, Nominating is described as a standing committee but in reality performs in an ad-hoc function.

Its activity spans a relatively short period of time, two or three months, and has a few specific tasks. However, as the key avenue to supply new leadership with fresh perspectives to AEL's most important activity, its role cannot be overemphasized.
