Affiliation Committee: Looking at the Future of AEL

This summer, AEL will be forming a committee to examine the future of our organization and explore options for strengthening member representation and long-term sustainability.

This committee will consider a variety of possibilities, including:

• Remaining independent
• Affiliation with AFSA
• Affiliation with MSEA
• Expanding internal infrastructure
• Dedicated legal support and staffing models
• Other organizational structures that may benefit members

No decisions have been made, and no recommendations have been predetermined. The purpose of this committee is to gather information, ask questions, conduct research, and provide members with the information necessary to make informed decisions about the future of AEL.
